Responsibilities: <p><strong>Achieving High Standards</strong></p> <ul> <li>Promote dealership by presenting a professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area.</li> <li>Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.</li> <li>Suggest additional work that is needed to the Service Advisor so the customer may be notified.</li> <li>Complete service and repair assignments correctly, to pass quality inspections or test drives.</li> <li>Collect all necessary information before requesting parts (e.g., model year, etc.).</li> <li>Maintain sufficient personally-owned tools; keep tools in good working order.</li> <li>Notify service advisor if delays are expected.</li> <li>Maintain cleanliness of the customer's vehicle.</li> <li>Submit all claims promptly.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Working Effectively With Others</strong></p> <ul> <li>Promote a productive working relationship with others.</li> <li>Actively listen to concerns; take action to respond to others&rsquo; needs.</li> <li>Speak clearly, concisely, and effectively.</li> <li>Provide&nbsp;clear and legible record of service completed for both customer and dealership use.</li> <li>Display an approachable style; foster open communication through active listening.</li> <li>Assist Service Advisors, if necessary, to explain completed repairs to a customer.</li> <li>Assist other technicians when needed.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Handling Pressure</strong></p> <ul> <li>Effectively handle and implement changes in Service Department.</li> <li>Listen to and support new ideas and approaches; adapt to change quickly.</li> <li>Maintain composure when faced with multiple demands.</li> <li>Meet or exceed flat-rate time allowances.</li> <li>Successfully perform overlapping tasks.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Managing Complexity</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prioritize work to meet demands and customer needs.</li> <li>Make decisions regarding repair options; ask for assistance as necessary.</li> <li>Complete repair orders within specified time frame and alert appropriate personnel if delayed.</li> <li>Take necessary steps to minimize time spent waiting for parts.</li> <li>Coordinate with Parts Department to ensure parts are available to complete repair.</li> </ul> <strong>Understanding and Using Business Knowledge</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on dealership tools and equipment; ensure the facility is clean and organized at all times.</li> <li>Perform factory warranty repairs according to established procedures.</li> <li>Follow all hazardous waste and OSHA safety regulations and company policies.</li> <li>Utilize Toyota-provided technical assistance</li> <li>Stay up-to-date on the latest technical services through training, bulletins, campaigns, etc.</li> <li>Acquire necessary training as required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Applying the Basics</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review and evaluate service write-up to determine if additional information is necessary and what type of diagnosis is needed.</li> <li>Use computer to look up part availability and repair orders.</li> <li>Use manuals including diagrams as necessary to complete the repair order.</li> <li>Properly dispose of used parts and return unused parts to the parts counterperson.</li> <li>Use diagnostic procedure to identify the symptoms of the problem, the conditions under which they occur, the OASIS symptom codes that are appropriate for the symptoms listed as well as how often the symptoms occur.</li> <li>Follow safety rules and regulations.</li> <li>Complete warranty repair orders according to policy.</li> <li>Return special tools and reference materials to their designated locations.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p>Education, training and/or state/national certifications should clearly demonstrate the possession of the knowledge and skills stated above.</p> <ul> <li>Vocational Degree</li> <li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license with clean driving record</li> <li>Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test</li> </ul> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 4 years experience in automotive repair or service</li> </ul>
