We&rsquo;re hiring for a Community Engagement Manager in our Victoria office. Someone who wants to make a difference and save lives every day by:</p> <ul> <li>Promoting leadership and community giving expertise to a team of staff and senior level volunteers to successfully achieve fundraising goals.</li> <li>Developing a portfolio of prospects including key businesses, organizations and individuals at various stages of identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.</li> <li>Collaborating with internal partners to effectively steward relationships including identifying and engaging top donor prospects in the region.</li> <li>Promoting Heart and Stroke&rsquo;s mission, and implementing strategies to strengthen community presence.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What&rsquo;s in it for you? Responsibilities: <p><strong>How you will make an impact every day:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute local community engagement and fundraising plans, monitoring benchmarks to ensure annual goals are achieved. You will: <ul> <li>Support the Regional Director and internal partners to identify prospective donors (from current roster) for major gifts, legacy giving and corporate philanthropy.</li> <li>Use data analytics and the community fundraising strategy to engage supporters further and increase donor acquisition, participation and revenue.</li> <li>Prioritize, cultivate and steward existing top relationships to deepen their connection to Heart and Stroke.</li> <li>Develop and implement strategies to introduce, maintain and expand relationships with new and current businesses, organizations and individuals to achieve fundraising objectives.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Collaborate. You will work with colleagues to identify and maximize cross-functional/cross-market opportunities in alignment with the Foundations mission and new National initiatives.</li> <li>Community engagement and volunteer development. You will grow and support a diverse volunteer leadership team to champion the success of Heart and Stroke; provide corporate and personal giving; inspire and motivate the involvement and giving of others.</li> <li>Develop a volunteer structure. You will support community activities and be the Heart and Stroke representative at community, corporate and health-related functions.</li> <li>Lead the development and management of the area office. You will complete evaluations, forecasting, and reporting; perform financial ROI analyses; identify areas of growth and opportunities to leverage technology.</li> <li>Roll out a community engagement strategy. You will provide operational leadership for the refinement and growth of four National fundraising programs (Jump Rope for Heart, Heart &amp; Stroke Canvass, Big Bike, My Own Fundraiser).</li> <li>Demonstrate values and competencies of the Foundation. You will: <ul> <li>Encourage open communication and foster an environment where team members willingly help each other, conflicts are quickly resolved, agreed-upon standards are respected, and there is shared accountability for the overall success of the office.</li> <li>Partner with Human Resources to recruit skilled talent and sustain a high performing, highly engaged and Nationally aligned team.</li> <li>Provide clear direction, coaching, and feedback; ensure team members are well supported in fulfilling their accountabilities, achieving their revenue goals and developing their skills to attain their career potential.</li> </ul> </li> </ul>

You can interpret reports, manage financial information, extract data and apply information for forecasting. You are highly proficient with a CRM database and MS Office. Familiarity with a fundraising platform would be an asset.</li> <li>The flexibility. You can lead, participate in and support evening and weekend community events. You understand late or extra hours are often needed.
