Overview: The role of the Senior Brand Manager is to provide leadership and own responsibility for developing, implementing and managing annual strategic, financial, innovation and operating plans for a brand or portfolio of brands. This includes promotions, packaging, analysis and P&amp;L. This role will also be responsible for leading cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities: <p>Achieve revenue, profitability, market share and other objectives by:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Developing and executing annual and long-term strategic plans for the brand and consistent with corporate priorities</p> </li> <li> <p>Executing marketing strategy, plans, and tactics.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Evaluating performance, identify competitive threats, and determine product strengths, weaknesses and opportunities by conducting market analyses</p> </li> <li> <p>Developing and consistently building the brand equity as a means of attaining volume goals and long-term profit growth</p> </li> <li> <p>Developing and maintain relationships with external partners and agencies</p> </li> <li> <p>Managing all marketing activities including but not limited to promotions, research, packaging and pricing</p> </li> <li> <p>Championing brand with cross-functional teams to gain alignment on Brand Plans and drive execution excellence</p> </li> <li> <p>Partnering with internal departments to develop trade, retail, and category strategies to meet consumer and customer objectives.</p> </li> <li> <p>Building consumer awareness, generate trial, increase distribution and drive sales by developing effective consumer promotions and communications plans. Quantifying and evaluating effectiveness by directing post-program analysis.</p> </li> <li> <p>Leading and influencing innovation to develop and execute short and long-term core improvement and new products.</p> </li> <li> <p>Actively managing brand P&amp;L</p> </li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Who we are looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS/BA (Marketing, Business, Social Sciences - Psychology, Sociology, Economics), MBA preferred</li> <li>6-10 years' experience in consumer products marketing (CPG)</li> <li>Knowledge of category (major competitors, target users, industry trends)</li> <li>Proficiency with PC applications MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint</li> <li>Strong interpersonal/communication skills; solid analytical skills; strong financial orientation</li> <li>Ability to analyze research data and make decisions designed to generate incremental sales and profits</li> <li>Knowledge of wide variety of specific promotion vehicles and vendors which may be usable in certain situations</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership and organization skills required</li> <li>Creative Mindset</li> </ul>
