Overview: The role of the Brand Manager is to provide leadership and own responsibility for developing, implementing and managing annual strategic, financial, innovation and operating plans for a brand or portfolio of brands. This includes promotions, packaging, analysis and P&amp;L. This role will also be responsible for leading cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities: Achieve revenue, profitability, market share and other objectives by:&nbsp;<br /> <ul> <li>Developing and executing annual and long-term strategic plans for the brand and consistent with corporate priorities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Actively managing brand P&amp;L.&nbsp;</li> <li>Leading and influencing innovation to develop and execute short and long-term core improvement and new products.&nbsp;</li> <li>Building consumer awareness, generate trial, increase distribution and drive sales by developing effective consumer .promotions and communications plans.&nbsp;</li> <li>Quantifying and evaluating effectiveness by directing post-program analysis.&nbsp;</li> <li>Partnering with internal departments to develop trade, retail, and category strategies to meet consumer and customer objectives.&nbsp;</li> <li>Championing brand with cross-functional teams to gain alignment on Brand Plans and drive execution excellence.</li> <li>Managing all marketing activities including but not limited to promotions, research, packaging and pricing.</li> <li>Developing and maintain relationships with external partners and agencies.</li> <li>Developing and consistently building the brand equity as a means of attaining volume goals and long-term profit growth.</li> <li>Evaluating performance, identify competitive threats, and determine product strengths, weaknesses and opportunities by conducting market analyses.</li> <li>Executing marketing strategy, plans, and tactics.&nbsp;</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Who we are looking for</strong></p> <ul> <li>BS/BA (Marketing, Business, Social Sciences - Psychology, Sociology, Economics), MBA preferred.</li> <li>5-7 years' experience in consumer products marketing (CPG).</li> <li>Knowledge of category (major competitors, target users, industry trends).</li> <li>Proficiency with PC applications MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal/communication skills; solid analytical skills; strong financial orientation.</li> <li>Ability to analyze research data and make decisions designed to generate incremental sales and profits.</li> <li>Knowledge of wide variety of specific promotion vehicles and vendors which may be usable in certain situations.</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership and organization skills required.</li> <li>Creative Mindset.</li> </ul>
