Registered Nurse

Overview: A new and rewarding opportunity is available at the Henry Ford Hospital Level I trauma ER located in midtown Detroit. <br /><br />&bull; Position: 36 hours per week <br />&bull; Shift: Midnights 6 pm to 6:30 am <br />&bull; Benefits: Full time benefit package <br />&bull; Unit training for the ER is 6 months. <br /><br />&bull; Henry Ford Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center, a teaching and research hospital.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br />&bull; The department encompasses 38,000 square feet and provides care for approximately 93,000 ED patients annually. Twenty-four percent of the patients seen are admitted, and 44 percent of all hospital patients are admitted through the Emergency Department.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: &bull; The patient mix consists of 17% critically ill, 52% emergent care, 19% pediatrics, and all others 12%.&nbsp;<br />&bull; The department consists of 30 senior staff physicians and 52 residents in three training tracks (EM, EM/Internal Medicine and EM/IM/Critical Care). There are over 300 RNs and support personnel employed full-time by the department.&nbsp;
Requirements: &bull; BSN preferred.&nbsp;<br />&bull; Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.&nbsp;<br />&bull; Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.&nbsp;<br />&bull; BLS certification.&nbsp;
