Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Administrative accountability for leading, managing, developing, supervising, and evaluating all aspects of patient care.</li> <li>Manages and collaborates relationships with leadership members, physicians, for the care of responsible patient populations.</li> <li>Assures professional, clinical, and educational excellence in the provision of quality care to patients.</li> <li>Facilitates empowerment of staff in the implementation of creative and innovative patient care delivery models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services. In conjunction with the Unit Medical Director, assumes responsibility for fiscal management of the unit.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong><em><u>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</u></em></strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or completion of other formal nursing education necessary to obtain/maintain an advanced practice nursing Michigan license (Midwife, CRNA, CNS, or Nurse Practitioner) is required.</li> <li>&nbsp;Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, Health Management or other related field preferred.</li> <li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an acute setting with progressive nursing leadership responsibilities.</li> <li>Cardiac Cath Lab experience is highly preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of quality management and service excellence.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills that provides coaching and facilitation expertise.</li> <li>&nbsp;Excellent problem solving skills.</li> <li>Demonstrates innovative, creative leadership style.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em><u>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES:</u></em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.</li> <li>&nbsp;BCLS/ACLS certification as required per unit standards.</li> </ul>
