Responsibilities: <p>We are looking for Senior Support Worker super stars who have an optimistic and solution focused approach who will help people discuss the nature of the crisis they are experiencing, their strengths and the coping skills they could use to decrease their distress and promote their wellbeing.</p> <p>The Recovery Caf&eacute; will be a welcoming, friendly and non-stigmatising environment offering food, activities and quiet spaces to cater for individual needs. Hestia staff will be supported on site by The Listening Place, the Trust&rsquo;s Home Treatment Team, volunteers and peer champions.</p> <p><strong>Grade:&nbsp;</strong>18-19</p> <p><strong>Hours:&nbsp;</strong>39 hours per week</p> <p><strong>Working Pattern:&nbsp;</strong>cafe is opened 356 days per year core hours 6pm -11pm and 12:00 &ndash; 23:00 bank hols and weekends.</p>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Demonstrable experience of working with individuals who have experienced mental health and / or dual diagnosis issues</li> <li>Knowledge of issues affecting those individuals with a range of mental health conditions, how to communicate effectively with these individuals and how to support them with dignity and respect.</li> <li>Takes appropriate steps in empowering customers to make choices and take appropriate control for their mental health in order to achieve appropriate levels of independence.</li> <li>Knowledge of relevant Mental Health legislation, in particular Care Program Approach (CPA) processes.</li> <li>Understanding of the principles of recovery as an ethos and a range of recovery approaches</li> <li>We welcome applications from candidates with lived experience.</li> </ul>
