Overview: <div><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Performs paraprofessional duties relating to the compliance of contractual and non-contractual County services.</span></div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Performs routine scheduled inspections of contractual and non-contractual County services, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, agreements, contacts departmental regulations and safety requirements.</li> <li>Reviews the performance of contractual and non-contractual County services and reports deficiencies or non-compliance to supervisor, and as directed re-inspects to verify completion of remedial or corrective action.</li> <li>Identifies, orders and stocks supplies, materials and inventory required to facilitate contractual and non-contractual County services.</li> <li>May oversee the work of contracted and non-contracted workers.</li> <li>May perform inspection duties during times of extreme weather supporting emergency needs of the County and general public.</li> <li>Performs other related duties as required.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Completion of 9th-grade education.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Two (2) years of experience in the inspection and coordination of contractual and non-contractual service.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.</span></li> </ul> <br /> <div> <div><strong><u>Job Specifications</u></strong></div> </div> <div> <ul> <li>Knowledge of inspection methods and procedures.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret government contracts.</li> <li>Ability to work effectively with others.</li> <li>Ability to serve and represent department and the County with courtesy and professionalism.</li> </ul> <div><strong><u>Work Category/Physical Demands</u></strong></div> </div> <div> <ul> <li>Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds).</li> <li>Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.<br />Ability to work outside in a subtropical climate in adverse weather conditions.</li> <li>Ability to bend, stoop, kneel or crouch in confined spaces.</li> <li><strong>Sedentary work</strong>&nbsp;- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.</li> </ul> </div>
