Employees can select from three health care plan options. Coverage is effective the first of the month following 60 days of employment.</p> <p><strong><u>Dental Insurance:</u></strong> Employees are eligible to enroll in the dental coverage and choose from four options: High DMO, Low DMO, a network Open Access Plan, and a PPO. Coverage is effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.</p> <p><strong><u>Vision Care:</u></strong> Employees and their dependents are eligible to enroll in the vision coverage. Co-payment coverage includes exams, lens and frame, as well as an allowable contact lens expense. Coverage is effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.</p> <p><strong><u>Employee Assistance Program:</u></strong> This program provides all employees and family members with professional, confidential counseling sessions. All employees and dependents are afforded up to six (6) free visits per Plan year. Responsibilities: <p>Note: The following duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. Depending on assigned area of responsibility, incumbents in the position may perform one or more of the activities described below:</p> <ul> <li>Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices to the planning, design support, construction, assessment, asset management, and maintenance of multiple municipal projects, or portions of major projects; resolves conflicts and ensures compliance with permits and regulations; prepares and monitors scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely completion of projects&nbsp;</li> <li>Provides engineering support in the design of complete projects, systems, components of processes, including project documents.&nbsp;</li> <li>Drafts or revises plans and drawings utilizing computer-aided design tools.&nbsp;</li> <li>Plans, researches, and conducts environmental and mapping surveys; performs cost analysis and feasibility studies&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepares contract drafts; evaluates contractor proposals and assists with review of proposals for professional engineering services.&nbsp;</li> <li>Conducts reviews of permit applications.&nbsp;</li> <li>Analyzes and interprets data; formulates and solves problems; makes recommendations based on findings&nbsp;</li> <li>Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments, such as whether assigned projects are on schedule and established within budget&nbsp;</li> <li>May assign tasks to, direct, and mentor lower level Engineering Associates and Engineering Technicians.&nbsp;</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <strong>Work Category</strong><br /> <ul> <li><strong>Light work</strong>&nbsp;- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.&nbsp; If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong><br /> <ul> <li>A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university with major in Engineering Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in an Engineering-related field; and&nbsp;Ten years of experience in the planning, assessment, design, construction, inspection of public infrastructure projects, or modeling of water, wastewater, storm water or traffic systems.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <strong>OR</strong>&nbsp;<br /> <ul> <li>An equivalent combination of relevant education (not less than possession of a High School diploma/GED), training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-specific competencies noted above.</li> </ul> <strong>Job Specifications</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Knowledge of engineering principles and practices for assigned functional area.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of engineering design criteria, standards, and applicable permit requirements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of construction standards, methods, materials, and inspection techniques.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of field testing, sampling, and investigative techniques and procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations and policies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of testing and monitoring devices and techniques.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of environmental regulations and requirements.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.&nbsp;</li> <li>Knowledge of project management theory, techniques, and tools.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to manage, train, schedule, assign, monitor, review, and evaluate assigned staff.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to organize, analyze, interpret, and evaluate engineering problems and provide practical, cost effective solutions.</li> </ul> <strong>Physical Requirements</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Work is performed in the office and construction sites&nbsp;</li> <li>Requires frequent standing, sitting, walking, and stooping.</li> </ul>
