Overview: The Plans Review Manager is an advanced, responsible, administrative, supervisory and planning position involving the management of operations of the plan review team. Responsibilities: <div> <div><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities</u></strong></div> </div> <div> <ul> <li>Verify quality assurance and quality control procedures.</li> <li>Monitor and assign workload for plans review team.</li> <li>Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.</li> <li>Respond to customer service requests.</li> <li>Monitor review times.</li> <li>Address staff questions and provide direction.</li> <li>Attend meetings with applicants and various members of the building industry.</li> <li>Provide training to staff on codes, procedures, etc.</li> <li>Manage the plan review team.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <br /> <div> <div><strong><u>Emergency Management Responsibilities</u></strong></div> </div> <div>In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee's department, the County's Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.</div> </div>
Requirements: <div><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications</u></strong></div> <div> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field; and</li> <li>Six (6) years of experience in architecture or engineering; with three (3) years of supervisory experience; and</li> <li>Registration in the State of Florida as a Professional Engineer (active status) in the applicable discipline as required by the Florida Statutes Chapter 471; or</li> <li>Registration in the State of Florida as a Professional Architect (active status) as required by the Florida Statutes Chapter 481.</li> </ul> <br /> <div> <div><strong><u>Job Specifications</u></strong></div> </div> <div> <ul> <li><strong>Critical Thinking</strong>&nbsp;- Ability to see and state beyond the obvious.
