Responsibilities: <ul><li>Oversee all aspects of live and simulcast racing operations including monitoring of handle and purses, management of the barn area and pari-mutuel operations</li><li>Confer with property General Manager, other property staff and Corporate Vice President of Racing to review achievements and identify required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.<br /></li><li>Communication with the Maine Harness Racing Commission, MHHA and horsemen and MSBOA on a regular basis.<br /></li><li>Representative as required on Industry Trade Associations and Organizations.<br /></li><li>Liaison between horsemen and property management.<br /></li><li>Perform special studies and direct special projects as directed by the General Manager of Hollywood Casino Hotel & Raceway and Corporate Vice President of Racing<br /></li><li>Ensure the highest level of quality and standards for employees and racing participants.<br /></li><li>Assure management and team member morale is maintained at a high level.<br /></li><li>Actively coordinate with senior facilities and maintenance staff to ensure, quality racing surfaces and facilities.</li></ul>
Requirements: <ul><li>High School Diploma, 5 or more years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Five years progressively more challenging experience in facilities, marine operations and project management</li><li>Ability to understand and analyze Budget & P&L Statements</li><li>Proven managerial and critical thinking skills required</li><li>Must possess excellent employee relations skills</li><li>Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English</li><li>Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required</li></ul>
