Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Providing fast, friendly,&nbsp;professional,&nbsp;and responsive customer service to team members and guests.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Maintaining current and&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;information&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;food items (i.e., preparation techniques, seasonings, ingredients).</li> <li>Preparing food items per guest order as required including, but not limited to, breakfast items,&nbsp;entrees,&nbsp;and desserts according to guest requests.</li> <li>Employing proper cooking methods, cooks to specifications, and handling, storing and rotating food properly&nbsp;in accordance with&nbsp;established health and safety standards.</li> <li>Slicing, dicing,&nbsp;chopping,&nbsp;and preparing raw products.</li> <li>Carving meats, portioning food on serving plates, adding gravies and sauces, and garnishing plates as&nbsp;required.</li> <li>Wiping counter areas, sinks and floors as&nbsp;required&nbsp;to&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;a clean and safe&nbsp;workstation.</li> <li>Maintaining cleanliness of designated areas as directed&nbsp;in accordance with&nbsp;established health and safety standards.</li> <li>Maintaining par levels of operating supplies and food product for each workstation obtaining replacement stock from warehouse inventory&nbsp;in accordance with&nbsp;procedures.</li> <li>Operating and&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;all equipment and utensils as&nbsp;required&nbsp;in accordance with&nbsp;established guidelines and safety procedures.</li> <li>Providing personalized service and using guests&rsquo; names when possible.</li> <li>Knowing and promoting current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Three&nbsp;years' prior experience as cook in high-volume food service operation.</li> <li>Must be able to obtain ServSafe certification.</li> <li>Kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment knowledge.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques.</li> <li>Required to taste and smell foods.</li> <li>Knowledge of weights,&nbsp;measures,&nbsp;and recipe yield.</li> <li>Possessing and&nbsp;maintaining&nbsp;culinary tools (knives) to perform the necessary job functions.</li> <li>Excellent customer service/communication skills.</li> <li>Working required schedule which may include nights, weekends,&nbsp;holidays,&nbsp;and overtime as needed.</li> <li>Meeting professional appearance standards&nbsp;as prescribed by&nbsp;company policy.</li> <li>Responding to visual and oral cues.</li> <li>Working in constricting areas and tolerate areas with&nbsp;high temperatures.</li> <li>Tolerating industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing.</li> <li>Working at a fast pace in an often crowded/noisy environment.</li> <li>Maintaining a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and upholding company appearance/dress standards.</li> <li>Must stand for&nbsp;long periods.</li> <li>Must be able to follow directions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull,&nbsp;carry,&nbsp;and&nbsp;lift up&nbsp;to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.</li> </ul>
