Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Adhere to all HCCTR as well as all Food and Beverage Policies.</li> <li>Follows batch recipes on all desserts as instructed by Executive Pastry Chef.&nbsp;</li> <li>Keep bakery clean at all times.</li> <li>Properly stores and rotates all baked goods and ingredients.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensures that the bakery items are always stocked and ready for our guests.&nbsp;</li> <li>Works closely with other departments to ensure that our guests receive the best dining experience we can offer&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensures all waste is logged into the waste book.</li> <li>Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastries and any task assigned to you by the pastry Chef.</li> <li>Prepares items in accordance with restaurant order guides.</li> <li>Maintains valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit and TIPS certifications.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>6 months' experience in a large volume bakery field.</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li> <li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and volume.</li> <li>Ability to multiply and divide recipe quantities as needed</li> <li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.</li> <li>Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.</li> <li>West Virginia food handlers' card.</li> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and stoop, knell, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.</li> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
