Responsibilities: <ul><li>Explain wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests.</li><li>Efficiently and accurately processes all pari-mutuel wages in the tote system. </li><li>Write, verify, and make payments on tickets for sports wagers in accordance with department policy and procedures and ensures compliance to applicable jurisdictional gaming statues and regulations.</li><li>Write Sports tickets in an accurate and timely manner.</li><li>Create and enter player tracking cards.</li><li>Make payments on winning tickets in an accurate and timely manner; verify tickets and payoffs.</li><li>Maintain a cash bank for his/her shift, responsible for accepting payment and making correct change when necessary.</li><li>Exchanges cash and coins in accordance with established procedures.</li><li>Maintain and reconcile bank for assigned shift, following established cash-handling policies and procedures.</li><li>Assists guests with credit applications.</li><li>Verifies credit approval for casino departments.</li><li>Performs credit card cash advances.</li><li>Issues and receives payments.</li><li>Cash personal, travelers, and payroll checks in compliance with approved procedures.</li><li>Counts down bank or window at end of each shift and reconciles to the draw amount.</li><li>Completes a blind drop on all revenues collected during the shift. </li><li>Operates assigned bank or window according to department and regulatory guidelines. </li><li>Completes all required shift paperwork according to internal control standards. </li><li>Records any applicable cash transactions that are required by Federal Law </li><li>Knowledge of and enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties.</li><li>Provides information and assistance to customers in a friendly, courteous manner to ensure the delivery of guest service. Offer information on activities, etc., and direct guests for further information as necessary.</li><li>Manages difficult guest situations; Responds promptly to guest needs; Seeks guest feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.</li><li>Stocks stations with adequate supplies; keeps all stations neat and clean.</li><li>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and Team Members may also be asked to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned. Requirements: <ul><li>Must be 21 or older. </li><li>General cashiering background or prior money handling experience preferred.</li><li>Previous experience in race and sportsbook preferred.</li><li>Working knowledge of sports.</li><li>Knowledge of tote system to place customer bets.</li>Must have previous experience with jet sort, coin roller, check cashing and credit card cash advance systems.</li><li>Efficiency and accuracy when entering guests wagers and paying out winners.</li><li>Variances within standards according to department variance policy.</li>Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions when required.</li>Ability to learn and comply with department, property and regulatory policy and procedure.</li></ul>
