Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Removes worn or defective shoe from hoof.</li> <li>Repair shoes in Paddock.</li> <li>Examines hoof to detect bruises and cracks and to determine trimming required.</li> <li>Verify shoes during paddock time for compliance with rules.</li> <li>Trims and shapes hoof.</li> <li>Selects aluminum or steel shoe from stock, according to hoof measurements and animal usage.</li> <li>Nails shoe to hoof and files hoof flush with shoe.</li> </ul> <br />This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and team members may also be asked to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.
