Overview: Under limited supervision, the Internal Wholesaler (IW) is responsible for the support of Agents, Licensed Producers, and all Field Leadership nationwide. The purpose of this position is to proactively support the field force and to promote financial services sales, growth, profitability, and success. This position must take the lead to work with many different areas of both the Life and Retirement sides of the business, helping to bridge the gap between the field and the home office. This position is responsible for staying up to date on the latest developments in many areas including but not limited to: internal product developments, IRS regulations, Life Insurance trends, FINRA/SEC regulations, as well as all Horace Mann legacy Life and Retirement products. <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -115px; top: -20px;">&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide support to Exclusive/Employee Agents and Field Leadership to drive sales and ensure company targets are met in both Life and Retirement</li> <li>Partner with corporate business divisions to identify product, process, sales and technology training needs</li> <li>Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitor offerings in product, process and technology with the objective of preparing our sales force to maintain a competitive edge in our niche market</li> <li>Maintain current product licenses and participate in industry-related professional development activities with the objective of furthering product, marketing and sales knowledge</li> <li>Handle incoming calls from agents and field leadership on a wide range of subjects and must be ready and able to provide guidance concerning these issues</li> <li>Utilize software and tools to enhance agents sales proposals, train agents on the software and tools used to allow comfortability with technology when used in sales situation</li> <li>Work directly with Internal and External Sales team to help facilitate the sale of Horace Mann Life and Retirement products</li> <li>Proactively make outbound sales calls and plan analysis.</li> <li>Create mutual fund comparison reports, product illustrations and generate lists of leads for Internal and External Sales teams</li> <li>Understanding of Advanced Underwriting techniques and policy design</li> <li>Stay abreast of industry trends to develop and aid agencies and leadership to remain competitive in a changing environment</li> <li>Deliver product, process, sales and technology training to our sales force/points of distribution via webinar, on-site training or other means as necessary</li> <li>Ability to deliver consultative sales skills and an ability to handle objections</li> <li>EA new hire class assignments for mentorship</li> </ul> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <ul> <li>4 Year College Degree</li> <li>Resident state Life Insurance and Health License</li> <li>FINRA 6/7, 26, 63 or 65</li> <li>Five or more years' experience in financial services, a minimum of two years dealing with Life Insurance and Annuities</li> <li>Sales and Sales Management strongly preferred</li> <li>Professional Designations Preferred</li> <li>Must become the subject matter expert across a wide range of topics providing expertise in many areas to ensure that agents and field leadership questions and concerns can be handled with professionalism and expert knowledge.</li> </ul>
