Overview: You will be leading a team of Claims Representatives to get educators back to normal faster. You will be supported two Property Directors, instructs. You will be responsible for providing leadership oversight of a claims team handling moderate to complex property claims. You will assist in hiring and training of claims staff.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Oversees and plans the daily work of the claims specialty team in the property business units.</li> <li>The candidate will be responsible for hiring, training, and coaches claim staff.</li> <li>Reviews and processes claim with the greatest complexity for physical damage, bodily injury, casualty, property, litigation, and catastrophes.</li> <li>Provides claim settlements, defense, risk reserving, and the implementation of established procedures and standards through quarterly audits of claim office operations.</li> <li>Establishing a high customer-focused culture that allows for retention and growth under company guidelines.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Must have experience leading a Property claims team through settlement, arbitration, or trial.</li> <li>Directs and controls claims file creation, analysis, investigation, reserving, reporting, and disposition of all claims within his/her settlement authority</li> <li>Responsible for the analysis of metrics and results.</li> <li>Maintains awareness of all applicable state and federal regulations.</li> <li>May be responsible for field office audits and audit procedures.</li> <li>Good understanding of legal proceedings and the ability to work with attorneys.</li> <li>Flexible in workload to handle crisis situations, last-minute changes, and immediate deadlines while handling stressful situations in a calm and logical manner.</li> <li>All required State licensing.</li> <li>Strong skillset and proficiency in technology.</li> <li>Strong Xactimate and XactAnalysis experience.</li> <li>Utilize and have experience with Quality Assurance.</li> <li>History of exceeding core goals and objectives.</li> <li>Knowledge of construction, mitigation, and general residential repair methods while being able to use contractor programs.</li> <li>Preferred&nbsp;College degree in a related field or&nbsp;3 - 5 years of claims management.</li> <li>Limited travel as needed.</li> <li>Strong leadership presence;</li> <li>Ability to communicate with passion, energy, intensity, and enthusiasm;</li> <li>High integrity and leadership.</li> <li>Proven track record with leading a diverse team in both virtual and in-office setting.</li> <li>Positive attitude.</li> <li>Teamwork oriented.</li> <li>Adapt to flexibility and change.</li> <li>Ongoing commitment to self-development and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Internal candidates must be meeting all core goals and objectives and have a pattern of consistency on performance.</li> </ul>
