Overview: <p>The Senior Product Compliance Analyst is a position with a wide range of responsibilities and invigorating challenges for those with a proactive and inquisitive mindset.&nbsp; The position provides opportunities to help instill a strong culture of compliance in the organization and work on a wide variety of projects that positively impact business operations.&nbsp; A summary of the position&rsquo;s requirements are addressed below:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for mentoring and training Product Analysts in processes and procedures related to industry standards, legal research, and evaluating overall compliance.</li> <li>Participate in and help drive the product development process.</li> <li>Evidence of strong ability to understand statutes, regulations, and bulletins.</li> <li>Regularly communicate with various business units and external customers such as state departments of insurance.</li> <li>Ability to perform legal research using various resources including but not limited to Insource.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Fills the Product compliance role on the Product Development Committee.</li> <li>Research state Insurance laws and regulations for applicability to new and existing individual and group supplemental products.</li> <li>Mentor and train Product Analysts in processes and procedures for drafting and filing.</li> <li>Review Product Analyst work and provides feedback and guidance.</li> <li>Create initial drafts of new products for internal review. Incorporate internal changes and prepares final draft for submission to regulatory bodies.</li> <li>Regularly communicate with state departments of insurance during the policy filing process.</li> <li>Research state and federal insurance-related statutes, regulations, and supplementary guidance for applicability to existing products.</li> <li>Review existing products for compliance with state statutes and regulations.</li> <li>Communicate regularly with other departments to understand business practices and advise on any necessary business process changes due to controlling state and federal law.</li> <li>Work with the various stakeholders to develop advertising materials, review advertising materials for compliance with controlling regulations, and advise on any necessary revisions.</li> <li>Maintains the compliance calendar and assure deadlines are met for required filings. Prepares and submits required compliance reports as needed.</li> <li>Answers compliance questions from employees in other departments.</li> <li>Assists with various projects as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree, Paralegal degree or equivalent years of experience</li> <li>Two (2) or more years of demonstrated experience with life/health insurance form filings, life/health insurance advertising review, and/or general insurance compliance. Preferred experience: compliance with both Individual and Group products</li> </ul>
