Property & Casualty

Overview: <p>While applying appropriate actuarial principles under close supervision and direction, the incumbent will:</p> <ul> <li>Determine appropriate pricing for assigned states using available internal and external data.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate implementation of rate changes</li> <li>Identify and help implement enhancements to the company&rsquo;s indicated rate level adjustment calculation</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>At least 5 undergraduate semesters completed toward a bachelor-level degree by the start of the internship, with preference given to majors in actuarial science, mathematics, and other quantitative fields and to students planning to graduate later than September 2022.</li> <li>At least one SOA/CAS exam passed.</li> <li>Basic knowledge of Excel, VBA, and/or R.</li> <li>Presentation skills/experience preferred.</li> </ul>
