Supplemental

Overview: The Director, Product Compliance is responsible for ensuring Supplemental products and related documents are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements while coordinating with various internal teams to coordinate reviews of product materials and collateral to confirm regulatory compliance and, where necessary, work with internal teams to implement changes.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Preparation and submission of life, accident &amp; health, and disability product filings</li> <li>Performing legal research using various resources including, but not limited to, INsource</li> <li>Establishing efficient processes and procedures related to policy drafting and filing, legal research and analysis, and additional work as needed.</li> <li>Completing annual, ongoing, and ad hoc reviews of Supplemental insurance products against state regulatory requirements to confirm compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.</li> <li>Reviewing, interpreting, and applying regulatory requirements to policy forms and other policy related documentation.</li> <li>Managing and responding to DOI data calls, market conduct profiles, and other DOI inquiries</li> <li>Maintaining in-depth knowledge of applicable insurance statutes and regulations.</li> <li>Representing the Company and Supplemental Division with industry trade groups and regularly interact with various DOIs.</li> <li>Serving as the Supplemental Division&rsquo;s representative on the Company&rsquo;s Enterprise Compliance team; collaborating with other Divisions to ensure effective regulatory monitoring</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required; JD a plus.</li> <li>Strong analytical, written and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate with leadership.</li> <li>Strong sense of priority, urgency and commitment to deadlines.</li> <li>Self-starter with the energy, motivation and resilience necessary to be effective under pressure; Adaptable and a good team player.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and SERFF</li> <li>Periodic travel may be required.</li> </ul>
