Finance & Planning

Overview: <br />Under close supervision, the Intern will develop technical skills and learn operational procedures and business practices. You will have the opportunity to work within a functional area to receive experience related to a degreed educational program.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Prepare quarterly financial statements for insurance subsidiaries.</li> <li>Prepare daily and/or monthly closing journal entries.</li> <li>Compile supporting documentation to support auditor requests.</li> <li>Prepare monthly account reconciliations.</li> <li>Complete daily system interface balancing.</li> <li>Assist with data submission to various state agencies and other interested parties.</li> <li>Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required. In addition, the incumbent must be organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>Must be pursuing a four-year degree program and may be receiving credits for internship towards graduation requirements.</li> <li>Requires a desire to enter the Accounting field, demonstrated by enrollment in an applicable degree program.</li> <li>Must be able to work an average of 30 hours per week.</li> <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States without Employer Sponsorship</li> </ul>
