Property & Casualty

Overview: <p><strong>This is a hybrid position, it will be located in Springfield, IL.</strong></p> <p>Horace Mann is seeking an&nbsp;<strong><u>Actuarial Analyst I</u></strong>&nbsp;for the Property &amp; Casualty Division. With guidance from the Actuarial Director,&nbsp;<strong><u>this role is involved in making key business decisions and recommendations and project management alongside senior leadership.</u></strong></p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Performing rate reviews and ad hoc analysis to determine the appropriate rates to be charged.</li> <li>Conducting discussions with and compiling information from various departments and incorporate the information into the process.</li> <li>Researching and responding to questions from regulators, rating agencies, external auditors, and internal business stakeholders, including field personnel and internal audit.</li> <li>Assisting with special projects as required</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree, with preference for a major in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics or Business-related field or other quantitative field</li> <li>A minimum of 2 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams passed</li> <li>0-3 years' experience</li> <li>Must be able to work in the United States without Employer Sponsorship.</li> </ul>
