Overview: Senior-level role; operates autonomously, broad impact across multiple systems. Seen as an expert in test design and leads testing efforts for strategic projects. Carry out procedures to ensure that all information technology solutions and services meet company quality standards and user requirements.&nbsp;
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop, enhance, and maintain tools/applications for a test automation framework supporting automated testing using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom-built systems.</li> <li>Establish requirements, evaluate, and recommend test automation tools.</li> <li>Estimate and plan for the development of a test automation framework.</li> <li>Define processes and standards for implementing test automation.</li> <li>Create automated tests for functional/GUI validation of company products and related components.</li> <li>Provide detailed documentation and training on automation tools/applications developed.</li> <li>Perform system, integration, functional, data validation, and performance testing as well as facilitate user acceptance testing.</li> <li>Utilize test management tools to document test plans and report test results and defects.</li> <li>Ability to grasp business and technical processes analytically/strategically.</li> <li>Work cross-functionally to assist with problem-solving and project plan activities.</li> <li>Respond to inquiries, and requests in a timely fashion.</li> <li>Team focused.</li> <li>Effective written and verbal communication in a professional manner to management, business partners, associates, and external resources.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <ul> <li>10+ years software test automation experience</li> <li>Provides consultation as technical and system expert on key business systems.</li> <li>Expert knowledge of quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.</li> <li>Expert knowledge of software development life cycle and project life cycle principles, including both Agile and Waterfall.</li> <li>Subject matter expert of all test frameworks, tools, and automation of complex platforms.</li> <li>Leads investigation and evaluation of new testing technologies and products for application within Horace Mann environment.</li> <li>Leads efforts to improve solution reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processes.</li> <li>Functions as process change leader.</li> <li>Educates and mentors several roles across the organization.</li> <li>Insurance domain knowledge strongly preferred</li> </ul>
