Overview: Are you a strategic leader who is passionate about building and maintaining a positive employee experience and thrives on fostering a high performing and inclusive culture? Horace Mann is looking for an experienced Director, Employee Experience who is responsible for&nbsp;leading strategic direction for talent and culture. You will partner with various key stakeholders and organizational leadership to address the talent and culture needs of the organization.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead the charge to deliver highly effective talent and culture initiatives that embraces our corporate values, supports, and maintains a high performing, inclusive culture at Horace Mann.</li> <li>Responsible for partnering with the VP, Talent and Culture to develop HR strategies and provide sound deliverables on all related subjects, as well as managing programs and leading/developing a top-notch employee experience.</li> <li>Acts as the subject matter expert on the Voice of the Employee (VOE) survey process, including a cohesive listening strategy, messaging, reporting, planning, and results.</li> <li>Leads committees and workgroups as needed to gain organizational insights of our employees to support the best employee experience.</li> <li>Fosters a culture of equity, belonging and inclusion, leading diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and programs in partnership with key business stakeholders.</li> <li>Utilizes key performance indicators to help drive improvements to the talent function.</li> <li>Cultivates a recognition and rewards program that has cultural impact and value. Ensures Horace Mann offers opportunities to recognize and reward our valuable employees and foster a culture of recognition, growth, and support.</li> <li>In partnership with Total Rewards, supports wellness initiatives that ensure a positive employee experience.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required. Master&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.</li> <li>SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.</li> <li>Minimum of five (5) years of HR leadership experience required.</li> <li>Minimum of three (3) years of talent management experience required. Experience specifically in engagement, talent acquisition, and DEI spaces are strongly preferred.</li> <li>Strong business acumen.</li> <li>Strong communication skills, written and verbal.</li> <li>Periodic travel may be required (up to 25%).</li> <li>Normal office environment/hybrid work schedule.</li> </ul> <br /><br /> <p>Horace Mann was founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Illinois, teachers who saw a need for quality, affordable auto insurance for teachers.
