Overview: The Guidewire Software Engineer III position is a mid-level role; operates autonomously, broad impact across multiple systems and the IT division. Seen as an expert in design and development and leads some development initiatives.<br /> This position will be hybrid in Springfield IL, Addison TX or remote.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Experience in Guidewire specific software development lifecycle and project life cycle</li> <li>Maintain software applications, including upgrade, enhancements, and patches</li> <li>Diagnose and resolve system problems</li> <li>Ensure application performance, reliability and quality</li> <li>Work closely with DevOps to drive system stability through CI/CD implementations</li> <li>Drive innovation through research of new technology, existing technology, and process improvement, asking &lsquo;how can we do it better&rsquo;</li> <li>Work on POCs for help determine best path forward with Growth and Run initiatives</li> <li>Work across departmental lines to improve HM development capabilities</li> <li>Create and maintain Enterprise &ldquo;Packages&rdquo; and keep them updated as environment changes</li> <li>Provide consultation with technical and system business knowledge on Guidewire applications</li> <li>Responsible for application analysis, tuning and measurement to ensure appropriate performance, reliability and quality SLAs</li> <li>Collaborate with the user community to design, develop and implement technology solutions across multiple business functions; leads other software engineers to accomplish.</li> <li>Mentor and coach others</li> <li>Adept development knowledge in applicable programming languages and/or superior knowledge of web design languages, scripting tools and protocols.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>College degree in computer science or other technical field required or equivalent work experience.</li> <li>5-7 years of experience with Guidewire Policy Center analysis, developing and testing code required.</li> <li>Guidewire Developer Cloud Certification -- Associate Certification - Insurance Suite 10.0 Developer required.</li> <li>3 years' experience working with medium to complex assignments and structures.</li> </ul>
