Overview: <p>Horace Mann is seeking a highly creative and strategic Art Director to lead visual concept development and deliver impactful, brand-aligned campaigns. This role will oversee the design process from concept to execution, ensuring our brand identity is relevant and consistently represented across all channels.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will bring strong design expertise, a strategic voice, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset to inspire teams and deliver compelling visual storytelling that resonates with audiences across all channels.<br /><br />This position is located in our Plano, TX office and is hybrid.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>Concept Development &amp; Artistic Direction</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and refine overall visual concepts for multi-channel initiatives across the organization, while actively contributing to hands-on design work.</li> <li>Provide artistic direction on style, tone, and execution, ensuring high-quality output from concept through completion.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Project Oversight &amp; Collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review design work for quality, consistency, and alignment with creative briefs.</li> <li>Partner with marketing, copywriting, and production teams to deliver cohesive storytelling and campaigns.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Trend Awareness &amp; Innovation</strong></p> <ul> <li>Stay current on design trends, cultural shifts, and emerging creative tools/technologies.</li> <li>Incorporate fresh, innovative ideas that elevate brand presence and engagement.</li> </ul> <br /> <p><strong>Presentation &amp; Brand Stewardship</strong></p> <ul> <li>Pitch and present creative concepts to stakeholders, articulating design rationale and alignment with business objectives.</li> <li>Ensure all creative outputs maintain the integrity of established brand guidelines.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>H.S Diploma or GED, required.</li> <li>College degree preferred.</li> <li>8+ years of professional design experience, experience in a supervisory position.</li> <li>Proven experience as an Art Director, Senior Graphic Designer, or similar creative leadership role.</li> <li>Strong portfolio demonstrates expertise in concept development, design execution, and brand storytelling.</li> <li>Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to manage, inspire, and mentor creative members.</li> <li>Strong presentation and communication skills to effectively convey ideas and design rationale.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Pay Range:</p> <ul> <li>$71,500.00 - $105,400.00/annually&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Salary is commensurate to experience, location, etc.</p>
