Overview: Horace Mann is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented&nbsp;<strong>Document Process Specialist II</strong>&nbsp;to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely handling of mail, business documents, and electronic document workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both IT and business partners.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Perform document processing functions including opening, sorting, batching, scanning, indexing, and delivering incoming mail and business documents across all business lines within regulated timeframes.</li> <li>Manage electronic document workflows, ensuring quality control standards are met.</li> <li>Research and analyze documents that cannot be identified through automated document recognition.</li> <li>Support Corporate Scanning Operation (CSO) processes by applying technical expertise and quality methodologies.</li> <li>Utilize and troubleshoot&nbsp;<strong>Kofax Capture/Kofax KTM software</strong>&nbsp;and DMS repository systems.</li> <li>Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT), track and report defects, and provide actionable insights to support management decisions.</li> <li>Partner with business stakeholders to ensure exemplary service on DMS-related projects, requests, and research.</li> <li>Act as a liaison between IT and business partners to implement changes in document processing systems.</li> <li>May be required to work irregular hours in a normal office environment.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent required.&nbsp; College degree preferred.&nbsp;</li> <li>Certification in quality control methodology&nbsp;<strong>and/or</strong>&nbsp;demonstrated expertise in Corporate Scanning Operation (CSO) processes.</li> <li>Proficiency with&nbsp;<strong>Kofax Capture/Kofax KTM</strong>&nbsp;and document management repository systems, with troubleshooting ability.</li> <li>Experience in electronic document management, scanning operations, and workflow processes.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve complex document issues.</li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with IT, business partners, and management.</li> <li>Strong commitment to service excellence and operational efficiency.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
