Overview: Supports financial reporting, accounting operations, and compliance across GAAP frameworks. This role contributes to accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and ongoing process improvements within a regulated broker dealer environment.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Support GAAP financial reporting on a segment and consolidated level, external SEC reporting for public company, FINRA reporting for broker dealer.</li> <li>Prepare and reconcile accounts including cash, investments, expenses, securities products, and equity accounts.</li> <li>Maintain SOX-compliant internal controls, including documentation and support for IPEs.</li> <li>Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and recurring financial reports.</li> <li>Partner with business teams on initiatives, system changes, and regulatory updates.</li> <li>Assist with responses to external auditors and regulators.</li> <li>Identify and recommend process improvements; perform peer review of work.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting.</li> <li>Foundational knowledge of GAAP accounting.</li> <li>Experience with financial systems and reporting tools preferred.</li> <li>Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li> </ul>
