Overview: In this role, you will source and acquire talent that supports our valuable mission of dedication to help educators at each financial stage of their careers, which makes Horace Mann unique to help educators protect their assets and prepare for their financial future. You will have the ability to create job postings, build recruitment marketing and sourcing strategies, and design social media campaigns. Horace Mann uses the full cycle recruitment, and full desk recruitment approach. In consultation, you will be&nbsp;collaborating with the hiring manager and human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and documenting salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process</li> <li>Consult and form relationships with department managers to know the ins and outs of their business and better understand their hiring needs, job specifications and process expectations</li> <li>Identify and implement innovative, efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization</li> <li>Develop and release job postings on platforms, such as social medial and job boards</li> <li>Screen resumes and prospects, qualify, interview, and manage candidates throughout the interview process from interview preparation to working with our compensation team with final offer details</li> <li>Assist with and oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.</li> <li>Utilize knowledge of multiple recruitment resources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates</li> <li>Collaborate with the hiring manager and human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and documenting salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details</li> <li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies</li> <li>Plan and participate in job fairs and college recruiting sessions to showcase our brand to enhance our talent pipeline</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>The Successful Applicant</strong></p> <p>Candidates we believe are successful in the role have these skills and qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Strong business acumen and work closely with the HRBPs to translate business plans to talent acquisition strategies</li> <li>Exceptional communication, interpersonal, consulting and decision-making skills</li> <li>Ability to source and recruit senior level positions and work with third-party firms when appropriate</li> <li>Analyze sourcing and benchmark data and metrics for hiring trends and improved competitive branding</li> <li>Advanced sourcing and recruiting skills across all areas of business in the organization</li> <li>Advanced consulting skills to develop a strong presence and execution of deliverables for leaders and the Talent Acquisition center of expertise</li> <li>Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems, HR Software and Social Media platforms</li> <li>5+ years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred</li> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience required; master's degree preferred</li> <li>Work in a fast-paced environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to handle open requisitions from multiple business areas, requiring different degrees of business knowledge and levels of complexity in roles</li> <li>May include evenings and weekends for interviews and onsite visits</li> <li>Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%</li> <li>SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR, SHRM TA Specialty, or similar credentials a plus</li> </ul>
