Overview: The Senior SOX Analyst will have a thorough understanding of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and perform&nbsp;the annual materiality for the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Program.&nbsp; Develop the annual financial, IT, and third-party vendor risk assessment and evaluate financial risks and controls with the business owners and maintain the inventory of such items.&nbsp; This position will facilitate the development/maintenance of SOX narratives and flowcharts and conduct an evaluation on the design of controls and testing over the operating effectiveness.&nbsp; &nbsp;Report to management any noted control deficiencies and track status of outstanding items and perform the evaluation of deficiencies open at year-end.&nbsp; Facilitate the quarterly controls certifications in support of the 302/906 certifications and SOX communications and reporting. <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -79px; top: -20px;">&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Perform the annual SOX scoping including the materiality and risk assessment process</li> <li>Design, perform and administer testing of the effectiveness of SOX controls</li> <li>Perform final review of Management's SOX testing</li> <li>Perform and/or lead other SOX compliance projects as assigned with minimal guidance from the SOX Manager</li> <li>Assist in the drafting of SOX related reports/memorandums for communication to SOX stakeholders including Senior Staff and Audit Committee</li> <li>Partner with business owners in the rationalization and evaluation of SOX risks and controls</li> <li>Participate in SOX walkthroughs to identify any changes in SOX controls</li> <li>Assist in the identification, reporting, and evaluation of SOX deficiencies</li> <li>Perform in other SOX compliance projects as assigned under the supervision of the SOX Manager</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting, finance or related field required.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years of prior SOX audit experience highly desire</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and National Association of Insurance Companies (NAIC) statutory reporting standards&nbsp;</li> <li>Possess at least one relevant professional designation (e.g., CPA, etc.) and Industry recognized licenses and certifications are considered a plus (e.g., CPCU, LOMA, FINRA series, etc.)&nbsp;</li> </ul>
