Overview: The Agency Consultant will lead and consult with agents to help them develop strong, successful agencies, increase revenue, and contribute to long-term, profitable company growth.<br /> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -144px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Build and maintain the agent/agency relationship with the Company</li> <li>Consult with agents to help them identify issues and opportunities and recommend possible actions that may be taken to correct problems and improve agency operations and sales production</li> <li>Help agencies understand and implement processes that may improve agency operations and enhance economic interest at the time of agency sale or appointment termination</li> <li>Connect Horace Mann capabilities with local market and/or agent opportunities</li> <li>Coach and assist agents with agency business planning to achieve targeted agency results</li> <li>Lead agent growth through school access programs, association relationships, and marketing strategies</li> <li>Utilize available technology, tools, and resources to analyze agent business results and improve agency operations, growth, and profitability</li> <li>Leverage available growth programs with agents in market place</li> <li>Joint work with new agents to show how to execute in-school activities, sales presentations, etc.</li> <li>Actively engaged in recruiting and onboarding new agents</li> <li>Objectively evaluate, develop corrective action plans and hold agents accountable for achieving territory goals.</li> <li>Communicate expectations and monitor progress</li> <li>Coordinate with recruiting team on agent pipeline</li> <li>End agent engagements for underperforming agents as replacements are identified</li> <li>Convince agents to invest ahead of growth; painting the picture for growth</li> <li>Articulate the HM story and value proposition</li> <li>Influence key decision makers</li> <li>Deliver HM workshops</li> <li>Coordinate follow-up and delivery of leads generated</li> </ul> <div id="gtx-trans" style="position: absolute; left: -13px; top: 26px;">&nbsp;</div>
Requirements: <strong>Education &amp; Experience:<br /></strong> <ul> <li>5+ years in successful field or agency experience</li> <li>Licenses: Series 6, 63, 26</li> <li>L&amp;H and P&amp;C license</li> <li>Business consulting skills</li> </ul> <br /><strong>In addition, Agency Consultants supporting the New Agent Segment will:<br /></strong> <ul> <li>Open new school buildings in partnership with local agents</li> <li>Facilitate additional workshops and seminars in school buildings to drive additional opportunity</li> <li>Connect agent with local opportunities or direct agent to appropriate HM Home Office support when challenges arise</li> </ul>
