<p>We are currently seeking a QA Supervisor to join our team at our new plant in Hillsboro, TX. This plant should serve for best practices across the country. People like you!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Who we need</strong></p> <p>You are an experienced quality assurance professional who thrives in a high paced environment. Someone who equally enjoys analyzing metrics and implementing process improvement plans to ensure everything we do meets the highest standard. You are looking for an opportunity to return to or stay in Hillsboro. This is a proactive role for someone who is excited to hit the ground running and immediately immerse themselves in our operations and processes at a new facility.</p>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>What you will do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Focus on continuous improvement. &nbsp;You will lead the development and implementation of a quality plan to drive continuous improvement in plant performance.</li> <li>Track and analyze quality assurance metrics. &nbsp;You will develop and manage quality assurance metrics to measure opportunities for improvement, progress on goals and accountability for performance.</li> <li>Lab quality assurance testing. &nbsp;You will manage and audit the planning and execution of daily lab quality assurance testing and production quality testing.</li> <li>Monitor vendor compliance. &nbsp;You will work with all IKO distributors, clients and partners to ensure any product that comes into our facilities meets our quality standards.</li> <li>Collaborate. &nbsp;You will regularly work in conjunction with the Process Engineer to reduce variation and eliminate waste in all plant processes.</li> <li>Reporting. &nbsp;You will design, manage and control documentation and reporting procedures as well as the communication of progress results to plant Key Performance Indicators in the area of Quality.</li> <li>Review customer claims. &nbsp;You will inspect customer claims identifying root causes and lead the development and implementation of corrective action plans in conjunction with the process engineer and the Operations team.</li> <li>Engage with and educate customers. &nbsp;You will perform client site visits and work with the sales team to address issues and educate distributors on items related to the shingles.</li> <li>Set goals. &nbsp;You will set QA compliance objectives and ensure those targets are achieved.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>What you bring</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. &nbsp;You have a four (4) year degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.</li> <li>The experience. &nbsp;You have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in an industrial process manufacturing environment in a quality assurance role with hands-on experience with quality management systems.</li> <li>An eye for continuous improvement. &nbsp;You have experience in statistical process control, process optimization and continuous improvement and experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.</li> <li>The leadership skills. &nbsp;You demonstrate values of integrity, respect for others accountability and a strong bias for action.</li> <li>A results-oriented work ethic. &nbsp;You are able to achieve results individually and as a member of a team.</li> <li>The communication skills. &nbsp;You have impeccable communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Join us</strong></p> <p>At IKO, we recognize that our success is due to the strength of our employees and to that end we nurture and support our employees&rsquo; sense of accomplishment and their contribution.
