This Full-Time opportunity to join a fun and exciting retail brand, comes with a competitive benefit package that includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) plan with company match, disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and a SWEET employee discount!</p> <p>The <em><strong>Human Resource Operations Specialist</strong></em> is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Vice President of Human Resources in supporting the business with responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, payroll compliance, performance management, succession planning, compensation, policy development &amp; implementation, worker&rsquo;s compensation and employment law compliance.</p>
Responsibilities: &nbsp;<strong><u>JOB&nbsp;</u></strong><strong><u>RESPONSIBILITIES<br /><br /></u></strong> <ul> <li>Develops and implements organizational policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbooks.</li> <li>Assist in the development of a performance evaluation &amp; goal setting program and revises as necessary</li> <li>Responsible for benefits administration to include enrollment, change reporting, invoice reconciliation and billing processing, and communicating benefit information to employees including COBRA Administration coordination</li> <li>As 401K Administrator, work as liaison with ADP 401(k) services, our financial advisor, and the CFO/COO and VP HR (Fiduciary Committee), to evaluate plan enhancements including any fund changes or plan guideline changes (i.e. company match, vesting, etc), auto enrollment, discrimination testing and refunds, compliance reporting, &amp; forfeitures.</li> <li>Maintain compliance with ACA reporting requirements.</li> <li>Will work closely with and back-up the HR/Payroll Analyst.</li> <li>Manages unemployment claims and administration as liaison with 3<sup>rd</sup> party unemployment administrator UC People Systems</li> <li>Manages HR Compliance: EEO-1 Reporting, OSHA Logs &amp; Reporting, SOX Compliance, year-end discrimination testing for 401(k) and FSA plans, submission of 5500 forms for health plans and 401(k) plan.</li> <li>Create and maintain a HR SOP Manual</li> <li>In partnership with BBX Risk Management, ensures proper filing and follow-up on all worker&rsquo;s compensation incidents.</li> <li>Work closely with VP, HR to ensure a fair and equitable Pay for Performance strategy. Help develop and maintain geographic wage bands, job evaluations, and participate in rollout of sales incentive and corporate incentive plan administration</li> <li>Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed</li> <li>Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database. Analyzes data and calculates / reports on key performance metrics</li> <li>Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment law.</li> <li>Performs other related duties as required and assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<br /><br /></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Business or Human Resources</li> <li>3-5 years Generalist experience in Human Resources.</li> <li>Prior experience with a large hourly employee population preferably in the Retail industry</li> <li>At least 3 years of professional experience across HR disciplines, including Benefits Administration, Compensation, Performance Management and HR Operations</li> <li>HRIS/Payroll systems experience required.
