Overview: <p>The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for building strategic, consistent, and optimal reporting for both Operations and business users. Including but not limited to; identifying, creating and building reports to meet business needs, creating and maintaining SQL datasets, automating business data operations, and accompanying software support to employees as appropriate, managing upgrades and maintenance.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Work with decision makers to leverage and automate reporting to drive integration and eliminate isolated functionality, multiple instances of same data, redundant and manual activities, improve efficiencies and lower costs.</li> <li>Prepare, document and implement new or enhanced reporting practices.</li> <li>Maintain structural integrity of databases and data warehouses.</li> <li>Manage upgrades, test, troubleshoot, standardize, and improve processes of business applications and integrations.</li> <li>Understand production practices and workflows.</li> <li>Act as liaison to operations and other departments.</li> <li>Participate in structured walk-throughs to review systems and provide training and support.</li> <li>Maintain governmental compliance and participate in audits as needed.</li> <li>Conduct technical evaluations on new products and provide recommendations.</li> <li>Provide 24x7 on-call support as required.</li> <li>Participate in the development of project proposals with emphasis on cost/benefits.</li> <li>Maintain a production-level work pace.</li> <li>Other duties as needed.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in a data related field with 2+ years of experience in the IT field or combination of post-secondary technical training such as: database design, providing technical support for software, SQL reporting systems, etc.</li> <li>Technical skills: <ul> <li>Experience in data analytics, reporting, and application integration.</li> <li>Possess working knowledge of computer systems and networks.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Skills: <ul> <li>Ability to follow through on short- and long-term projects.</li> <li>Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions. Examples include critical thinking, problem-solving, and data analysis.</li> <li>Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
