Overview: Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking a Filer to join our team. The Filer Benchman is responsible for maintaining and repairing all saws, guides, knives, used in mill operations.<br />
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations and JSAs.</li> <li>Tip and grind all saws.</li> <li>Hammer and roll saws to ensure they are level and properly tensioned.</li> <li>Weld tips.</li> <li>Sharpen saws.</li> <li>Changes saws and guides.</li> <li>Pour babbitt for guides and cuts to proper size.</li> <li>Maintain grinding equipment and ensure proper settings of filling equipment.</li> <li>Maintain all saw guide lube and water systems.</li> <li>Work with other departments to ensure lumber quality and troubleshoot any quality issues.</li> <li>Assist head filer in maintaining filling room inventory.</li> <li>Maintain a production level work pace.</li> <li>Keep work are clean at all times &ndash; cleanup during and after shift.</li> <li>Other duties as needed.</li> </ul>
