Responsibilities: <p><strong><em>Essential Functions:</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure established guidelines and procedures are in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.</li> <li>Secure a solid understanding of licensing regulations at the state and local levels for all new property locations. Advise Senior Leaders of procedural changes or policy changes that have impact to the businesses.</li> <li>Work with the Strategic Initiatives Partner as the company&rsquo;s point person for current political issues and proposals that could affect the company&rsquo;s operations.</li> <li>Support the development of policies, guidelines, standards and procedures with federal, state, and/or local regulatory compliance.</li> <li>Maintain an overall knowledge of HIPAA guidelines.</li> <li>Work with company&rsquo;s legal counsel and other leaders to coordinate responses to any regulatory agencies regarding compliance matters as needed.</li> <li>Partner with company&rsquo;s legal counsel to develop and update compliance policies in company handbook.</li> <li>Assist with regulatory and compliance training for leaders and staff as needed.</li> <li>Stay abreast of any legislation or policies that may affect Resident Leases and Residency Agreements.</li> <li>Ensure Fair Housing standards are maintained at all times.</li> <li>Partner with community leadership to work through resident disputes over leases and/or services provided.</li> <li>Review all forms and formats for Resident Leases and Residency Agreements on an annual basis to ensure federal, state and local compliance.</li> </ul>
Requirements: The successful candidate will also assist with regulatory and compliance training for leaders and staff.&nbsp; The Compliance Partner will be results-focused, an innovative problem solver, self-motivated, and be energized by working amongst a group of thoughtful, smart, fast-paced and successful colleagues.&nbsp; He or she will enjoy being a part of an organization focused on excellent service to our internal business partners, our senior living community leaders and employees and will be a naturally collaborative individual who enjoys interacting with individuals at all levels.&nbsp; Additionally, he or she will be a strong team player with a proactive approach and the ability to take initiative with discretion and judgment.&nbsp;
