Overview: The Personal Care Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, administration and coordination of resident care services by delivering a 1440 experience, leading employee connections to build a strong team and optimizing performance within our community.<br/><br/>We have comprehensive benefit packages that include health, dental, vision, 401(k), income protection, and extraordinary work-life benefits.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead, manage, and overall accountability for your team and their performance.</li> <li>Supports team and community with professional integrity and with commitment to upholding our 1440 culture and pillars.</li> <li>Clear Communication of Vision: Ability to translate how our organizational, community and goals relate to our team, staff and residents. Understanding and leading to our 1440 care standards: advanced knowledge of policy and procedures and scope of care.</li> <li>Revenue for Personal Home Care, Evaluations &amp; Care Conferences: Responsible for ensuring right care, at the right price with the right staff.</li> <li>Work with Lead Caregiver on task sheets with daily duties to ensure our residents consistently receive the best of care.</li> <li>Community Leader Partnership: Leading relationships with fellow community leaders and external partners by meeting and following through on action items.</li> <li>Manage Hiring Process: Interviews potential employees, processes hiring paperwork and facilitates onboard/orientation to 1440 standards. Maintains appropriate records for new and existing staff.</li> <li>Payroll Administration: Accurately approves and processes (bi-weekly) payroll for personal care wellness team.</li> <li>Schedule/Staffing: Oversight of Lead Caregiver to create, maintain and update staff schedules to meet wellness needs of residents.</li> <li>Training Accountability: Maintaining all appropriate records of training for new and existing staff. Ensure all new hires enroll in CSIG U, receive their learning plans and complete all.</li> <li>Financial acumen &ndash; Contracts, Billing and Accounts Receivable: ensure all contracts are signed and up to date, complete and verify billing is timely and accurate, manage the A/R process. Complete all related reports. Provide support for Long-Term Care Insurance processing. Manage communication with the finance team and regional support for all areas above.</li> </ul> <strong>Other Key Responsibilities for Personal Care Supervisor:</strong><br /> <ul> <li>Marketing: Own the relationships with your Executive Director and Sales Team and market wellness throughout the community by increasing visibility, credibility and trust.</li> <li>Perform admission and ongoing evaluations of residents quarterly, upon return from hospital or skilled environment, or change of condition (initiate care conference). Use this information to set care services within the community to meet resident needs.</li> <li>Develops and maintains positive relationships with residents and their families.</li> <li>Attends regional and 1:1 planning calls as assigned.</li> <li>Reviews occurrence reports submitted by staff members to determine if an evaluation/care conference needs to be performed on an existing resident and address any personnel issues which are identified.</li> <li>Assists in maintaining and updating all required employee records, both written and electronic.</li> <li>Organizes, implements and evaluates training for all new hires and existing staff.</li> <li>Assists in planning monthly staff meetings for the Laurus Home Care team.</li> <li>Communication of all emergency policies and provision of updated information to staff.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Prior experience providing administrative and managerial support to staff required.</li> <li>Proven ability to manage revenue and financials successfully.</li> <li>Ability to work successfully through complex issues; problem solve.</li> <li>Medical Assistant preferred or Recreation Therapist, Exercise Physiologist, Social Worker (BSW) or equivalent required.</li> <li>Proven organizational and communication skills.</li> <li>Basic computer skills and ability to learn in house systems (e.g. YARDI, NovaTime, ect.).</li> <li>Proven high performer.</li> </ul>
