Overview: The Account Manager in Training is responsible for developing an understanding of all company departments, their functionality and relationship to the individual utility districts.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assumes responsibility for insuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Department by:</li> <li>Learning and formulating departmental goals, strategies, and operating policies and procedures and directing implementation of approved changes.</li> <li>Effective understanding of producing a budget and managing the budget as it relates to a utility district.</li> <li>Become familiarized with the interaction of consultants with the operation of utility districts in board meeting setting</li> <li>Become efficient in inspections of utility facilities as it pertains to safety and operating procedures</li> <li>Learn the production of monthly reports to be used at board meetings</li> <li>Develop a strategy for client retention</li> <li>Become proficient at reading and understanding of utility contracts and district rate orders</li> <li>Gain knowledge to understand and adhere compliance to permits and safety regulations</li> <li>Will obtain knowledge to be able to meet with local, state, and federal agencies at facilities to perform site inspections</li> <li>Learn and understand company processes to be able to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of personnel</li> <li>Understand the process as it relates to work order completion</li> <li>Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <ul> <li>Experience in use of Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel)</li> <li>Possess effective communication skills, both verbal and written</li> <li>Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with deadlines</li> <li>Self-motivated and goal oriented</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</em></strong></p> <p>BS/BA degree in a related field in the water and wastewater field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p><strong><em>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</em></strong></p> <p>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</p> <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p> <p>Occasionally required to lift 50 pounds</p> <p>&nbsp;**Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.</p>
