Overview: The Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment to prolong the serviceable life of all equipment
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assists Lead Maintenance Technician in performing various maintenance tasks.</li> <li>Cleans and maintains tools and equipment.</li> <li>Cleans and performs preventative maintenance on various equipment.</li> <li>Prepares rigs for daily use.</li> <li>Repairs and replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses and other equipment.</li> <li>Conducts routine equipment maintenance tests.</li> <li>Performs vibration analysis and other non-destructive testing.</li> <li>Prepares pipes and fabricated supports.</li> <li>Performs maintenance requiring metal cutting including welding, brazing and soldering.</li> <li>Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion.</li> <li>Cleans shop area.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Night Shift - hours are 4pm and 7am</li> </ul>
Requirements: <em><strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong></em>&nbsp;High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience or equivalent training.<br /><br /><em><strong>Licenses/Certifications:</strong></em>&nbsp;Valid Driver&rsquo;s License (Class B CDL preferred). Other licenses (may vary according to specific site and assignments): SCBA, CSI, Crane and Forklift Operator, Rigging, Metal Cutting.<br /><br /><em><strong>Technical:</strong></em>&nbsp;Ability to follow manual &amp; operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications &amp; internet. Working knowledge of all preventative and corrective maintenance activities associated with the operation of water/wastewater treatment facilities.<br /><br /><em><strong>Communication:</strong></em>&nbsp;Communicates clearly &amp; professionally. Contributes to a positive internal &amp; external customer experience. Maintains composure in challenging situations. Collaborates with others. Asks for constructive feedback.<br /><br /><em><strong>Problem Solving &amp; Quality:</strong></em>&nbsp;Pays attention to detail. Identifies &amp; solves problems. Escalates issues accordingly. Checks work for quality. Shares suggestions to improve quality &amp; productivity.<br /><br /><em><strong>Managing for Results:</strong></em>&nbsp;Works independently with minimal supervision.
