Overview: <br />The Inspector I is responsible for inspecting residential and commercial external plumbing systems that attach to sewer lines and ensuring conformity to governmental codes regarding material types and installation specifications.
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Inspects residential and commercial lines that attach to sewer lines for approved materials, specified pipe sizes, and required grade and bedding.</li> <li>Makes necessary taps to sewer main as necessary for typing in external lines for residential and commercial connections.</li> <li>Performs pre-site and final site inspections on residential and commercial projects. Performs inspections for major repairs performed by sub-contractors. Submits work order requests for problems found during inspections.</li> <li>Fills out proper pass/fail notifications for grease trap inspections.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Willing to work all shifts, including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><em><strong>Education/Experience</strong></em>: High School Diploma or GED. One-year related experience preferred.</p> <p><em><strong>Licenses/Certifications</strong></em>: Valid Driver&rsquo;s License, maintains insurable driving record.</p> <p><em><strong>Technical</strong></em>: Ability to follow manual &amp; operating instructions. Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures &amp; safety practices. Ability to perform routine maintenance/repairs. Ability to work with required tools (including jackhammer, demolishing saw, etc.). Comfortable in and around water/raw sewage.</p> <p><em><strong>Communication</strong></em>: Communicates clearly &amp; professionally. Contributes to a positive internal &amp; external customer experience. Willing to help others.
