Overview: The Utility Technician is responsible for performing various general labor activities that provide assistance at the jobsite.
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Repairs and maintains items on water, wastewater and drainage facilities.</li> <li>Makes scheduled inspections.</li> <li>Performs lawn and gardening maintenance and repair.</li> <li>Shovels dirt and gravel.</li> <li>Maintains inventory of parts and maintenance supplies.</li> <li>Cleans office including: vacuuming, sweeping, trash pickup, bathroom/kitchen clean up.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Willing to work all shifts, including: weekends, holidays, evening and 24-hour emergency on call.</li> </ul>
Requirements: Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED.<br /><br />Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver&rsquo;s License and maintains insurable driving record.<br /><br />Technical: Ability to follow manual &amp; operating instructions. Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures &amp; safety practices. Ability to perform routine maintenance/repairs. Ability to work with required tools (including jack hammer, demolishing saw, etc.). Comfortable in and around water/raw sewage.<br /><br />Communication: Communicates clearly &amp; professionally. Contributes to a positive internal &amp; external customer experience. Willing to help others. Maintains composure in challenging situations.<br /><br />Problem Solving &amp; Quality: Pays attention to detail. Identifies &amp; solves problems. Escalates issues accordingly. Checks work for quality.<br /><br />Managing For Results: Works well with supervision. Takes projects to completion. Follows all company policies &amp; SOPs. Willing to take on additional assignments.<br /><br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS<br /><br />Must be able to: frequently lift 50-80 pounds; load, unload &amp; move large equipment/tools; access confined spaces; continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.
