Overview: <br /> <p>The Internal Auditor - Compliance is responsible for conducting evaluation reviews ensuring projects continuously meet regulatory, environmental, and contract compliance and improve overall operational performance.</p> <p><strong>**</strong>Position can be located anywhere in the United States and must be able to travel up to 70%</p>
Responsibilities: <br /> <ul> <li>Conducts contract deliverable reviews, ensures compliance with Company Performance Standards, assists in Health and Safety reviews and Human Resource evaluations</li> <li>Conducts Client interviews and reviews of Contact compliance.</li> <li>Conducts review of compliance with permits, monitoring plans, and applicable regulations</li> <li>Conducts desktop data reviews and spot-checks completeness and accuracy of regulatory reporting</li> <li>Conducts project site visits. Meets with PMs and project staff to understand operational and compliance challenges.Reviews operational status of equipment and adequacy of redundancy/spare parts inventory.</li> <li>Reviews site-specific SOPs and training records. Reviews plant records and logbooks.</li> <li>Develops compliance evaluation, works with Project and Regional Management staff to complete Project performance status checklists</li> <li>Documents audit findings in a written report. Conducts preliminary Audit findings meeting, provides Project staff with initial action plan list.</li> <li>Provides action plan tracking and assists in action completions and follow up planning, can coordinate with other departments to ensure completion&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provides guidance and support in conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis for environmental excursions.&nbsp; Assists PMs to identify and implement corrective action.&nbsp;</li> <li>Supports projects as needed.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <br /> <p><strong><em>Education/Experience</em></strong>: BA/BS in related field and 8-10 years of Wastewater/Water plant management and operations experience. Some audit experience preferred.</p> <p><strong><em>Licenses/Certifications</em></strong>: Valid Driver&rsquo;s License. Water/Wastewater Certification preferred.</p> <p><strong><em>Technical</em></strong>: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications &amp; internet. Advanced knowledge of water/wastewater systems and technology. Strong knowledge of NPDES permits and Water regulatory requirements for monitoring and reporting. Knowledge of contract language and budgetary data. Understanding of Laboratory processes. Ability to analyze, interpret and report complex data.</p> <p><strong><em>Communication</em></strong>: Communicates clearly &amp; professionally.
