Overview: <p><strong>JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE</strong></p> <p>The Accountant I is responsible for the analysis and reporting of financial data and information.</p>
Responsibilities: <p>Perform some or all of various accounting functions including:</p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;Prepare journal entries and coordinate monthly close process.&nbsp;</li> <li>Review and monitor accruals and&nbsp;journal entries.</li> <li>Review and make adjustments to general ledger.&nbsp;</li> <li>Track and maintain fixed asset&nbsp;account.&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.&nbsp;</li> <li>Responsible for the timely payment of all&nbsp;payables.&nbsp;</li> <li>Research and assist with vendor payments.&nbsp; Year end form 1099 and 1096.</li> <li>Responsible to maintain association funds and ensure they are FDIC protected.</li> <li>Assist with the completion of annual budgets</li> <li>Assist in internal and external audits</li> <li>Assist in making deposits</li> <li>Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports</li> <li>Other Duties as assigned</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS</strong></p> <p><strong>Education/Experience:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>BS degree in Accounting and 2-5 years of experience in Accounting or general business (or and equivalent combination of education and experience).</p> <p><strong>Communication:</strong>&nbsp; Communicates clearly &amp; professionally.&nbsp; Contributes to a positive internal &amp; external customer experience.&nbsp; Maintains composure in challenging situations.&nbsp; Collaborates with others.&nbsp; Asks for constructive feedback.&nbsp; Communicates detailed information.</p> <p><strong>Problem Solving &amp; Quality:</strong>&nbsp; Pays attention to detail.&nbsp; Identifies &amp; solves complex issues.&nbsp; Escalates issues accordingly.
