Overview: <p>The Maintainer III performs skilled manual work in the operation of medium duty equipment for construction and maintenance of facilities.&nbsp; Construction experience in sewer maintenance and repair preferred. Union position.</p> <p><strong>Must have a Class B CDL</strong></p>
Responsibilities: <LI>Operates vacuum and jet truck, clam truck, spare parts truck, dump truck, etc.</LI><LI>Handles refueling, checking all fluids and tire pressures, etc.</LI><LI>Reports maintenance and service needs to the mechanics.</LI><LI>Keeps vehicles clean and in good operating condition.</LI><LI>Works as laborer as needed.</LI><LI>Other duties as assigned.</LI><LI>Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm</LI></UL>
Requirements: <p><em><strong>Education/Experience</strong></em>: High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years of experience related experience operating medium duty equipment for construction and maintenance activities.</p> <p><em><strong>Licenses/Certifications</strong></em>: Valid Driver&rsquo;s License , Class B CDL required. Air Brakes Endorsement from state of Connecticut. Confined Space Awareness and Entry. Hazardous Communication Awareness. Boom Truck Operations. Other licenses may vary according to specific site and assignments.</p> <p><em><strong>Technical</strong></em>: Ability to follow manual &amp; operating instructions. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications &amp; internet &amp; CMMS Systems. Advanced knowledge of control loops, flow meters and process instrumentation. Root Cause Failure Analysis.</p> <p><em><strong>Communication</strong></em>: Communicates clearly &amp; professionally. Contributes to a positive internal &amp; external customer experience. Maintains composure in challenging situations. Collaborates with others. Asks for constructive feedback.
