Overview: <p><strong>JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE</strong></p> <p>The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing various types of equipment to prolong the serviceable life of all equipment.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assists Lead Maintenance Technician in performing various maintenance tasks.</li> <li>Cleans and maintains tools and equipment.</li> <li>Cleans and performs preventative maintenance on various equipment.</li> <li>Prepares rigs for daily use.</li> <li>Repairs and replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses and other equipment.</li> <li>Conducts routine equipment maintenance tests.</li> <li>Performs vibration analysis and other non-destructive testing.</li> <li>Prepares pipes and fabricated supports.</li> <li>Performs maintenance requiring metal cutting including welding, brazing and soldering.</li> <li>Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion.</li> <li>Cleans shop area.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned.</li> <li>Shift: Monday-Friday, some weekends or on call</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><em><strong>Education/Experience</strong></em>: High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience or equivalent training.</p> <p><em><strong>Licenses/Certifications</strong></em>: Valid Driver&rsquo;s License (Class B CDL preferred). Other licenses (may vary according to specific site and assignments): SCBA, CSI, Crane and Forklift Operator, Rigging, Metal Cutting.</p> <p><em><strong>Technical</strong></em>: Ability to follow manual &amp; operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications &amp; internet. Working knowledge of all preventative and corrective maintenance activities associated with the operation of water/wastewater treatment facilities.</p> <p><em><strong>Communication</strong></em>: Communicates clearly &amp; professionally. Contributes to a positive internal &amp; external customer experience. Maintains composure in challenging situations. Collaborates with others. Asks for constructive feedback.</p> <p><em><strong>Problem Solving &amp; Quality</strong></em><strong>:&nbsp;</strong>Pays attention to detail. Identifies &amp; solves problems. Escalates issues accordingly. Checks work for quality. Shares suggestions to improve quality &amp; productivity.</p> <p><em><strong>Managing for Results</strong></em>: Works independently with minimal supervision. Takes projects to completion. Follows all company policies &amp; SOPs. Manages multiple tasks. Seeks out opportunities for development.</p> <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p> <p>Must be able to: frequently lift 50-60 pounds; load, unload &amp; move large equipment/tools; access confined spaces; continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.</p>
