Overview: <p>The Plant/Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of two wastewater plants, collection system and customer service department.<br /><br />Connecticut Grade IV License required.</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Leads his/her team of operators in all aspects of people management including: hiring, orientation/on-boarding, performance management, salary changes,&nbsp;promotions, training and development, transfers and terminations. Monitors&nbsp;and reviews staff work and coaches appropriate improvement.</li> <li>Ensures that all&nbsp;SOPs are followed and DOT, OSHA and other requirements are met.</li> <li>Communicates&nbsp;with account managers on a weekly basis regarding ongoing operations.</li> <li>Conducts site&nbsp;visits and communicates with maintenance group about maintenance, repairs,&nbsp;etc.</li> <li>Creates and&nbsp;manages operational budget. Creates monthly operations reports.</li> <li>Assesses&nbsp;operational performance and implements continuous improvements.</li> <li>Other duties as&nbsp;assigned.</li> </ul> <br /> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
Requirements: <p><em><strong>Education/Experience</strong></em>: BA/BS in related field and 5-7 years water/wastewater experience. Two years previous supervisory experience required.</p> <p><em><strong>Licenses/Certifications</strong></em>: Valid Driver&rsquo;s License (CDL preferred). Water/Wastewater Operator&rsquo;s License specific to state and site specific requirements. Other licenses may vary according to specific site and assignments.</p> <p><em><strong>Technical</strong></em>: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications &amp; internet. Ability to work with basic office equipment &amp; phone systems. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, DOT regulations &amp; Utility SOPs. Proficiency completing all regulatory documentation, reports and correspondence.</p> <p><em><strong>Communication</strong></em>: Communicates clearly &amp; professionally.
