Overview: <p><strong>JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE</strong></p> <p>The Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing various types of equipment to prolong the serviceable life of all equipment.&nbsp;</p>
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Assists Lead Maintenance Technician in performing various maintenance tasks</li> <li>Cleans and maintains tools and equipment</li> <li>Prepares rigs for daily use</li> <li>Repairs or replaces pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers, belt presses, and other equipment</li> <li>Maintains files and records of work orders and task completion</li> <li>Cleans shop area as assigned</li> <li>Conducts routine equipment maintenance tests</li> <li>Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to write simple correspondences</li> <li>Ability to follow written and oral instructions</li> <li>Willing to learn and help</li> <li>Previous water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable</li> <li>Willing to work all shifts including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</em></strong></p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent and 0-1-year related experiences and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience</p> <p><strong><em>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license (CDL preferred)</li> <li>Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)</li> </ul> <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds</li> <li>Able to climb ladders and stairways</li> <li>Able to pass fit-test for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus</li> <li>Must be able to access confined spaces</li> </ul> <p>**Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions</p>
