Overview: The(Water) Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine wastewater analysis for process control as directed by the Lead Operator.
Responsibilities: <li>Performs routine wastewater analysis for process control as directed by the Lead Operator such as:</li></ul> <li>Chemical oxygen demand (COD)</li><li>Analysis of BOD5</li><li>Suspended and total solids, volatile solids, ammonia</li><li>Total kjedahl nitrogen (TKN)</li><li>pH</li><li>Conductivity</li><li>Process jar testing</li><li>The operations of the Atomic Absorption analysis equipment</li></ul> <li>Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions</li></ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices</li> <li>Previous water or wastewater treatment experience</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</em></strong></p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of formal training and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience</p> <p><strong><em>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</em></strong></p> <p>None</p> <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions</p>
