Overview: The Senior Process Engineer provides expert level engineering, process and management support to municipal and industrial drinking water treatment plants in Operating Services US. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Identifies causes of inadequate drinking water treatment plant performance and provides recommendations to plant staff and/or client to resolve deficiencies</li> <li>Identifies capital improvements for projects and capital efficiency opportunities</li> <li>Provides recommendations to Inframark's staff and clients on facility process and equipment changes</li> <li>Performance modeling of the operation and maintenance of drinking water processes and systems</li> <li>Reviews capital investment proposals to ensure that the most cost effective solution is promoted</li> <li>Provides engineering and process support to existing projects, including training</li> <li>Provides recommendations for enhancement and optimization of drinking water treatment plant performance</li> <li>Reviews potential of new technologies for application to facilities we operate or plan to operate</li> <li>Delivers technical recommendations in written reports and presentations to clients, including municipal governing bodies</li> <li>Prepares technical papers for presentation at conferences and development of literature to promote our services</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to independently define, collect and analyze relevant data, draw valid conclusions and provide potential resolutions to engineering problems</li> <li>Understanding of municipal drinking water treatment equipment and processes utilized in the US</li> <li>Strong understanding of US federal drinking water regulations</li> <li>Able to evaluate and interpret engineering specifications, design drawings and other technical data</li> <li>Ability to evaluate plant operations and maintenance functions at drinking water treatment facilities</li> <li>Ability to independently perform mathematical modelling of drinking water treatment facilities</li> <li>Works well with staff and client at all levels</li> <li>Strong communication skills, both verbal and written</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software</li> <li>Possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>BS or MS degree in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering</li> <li>At least 15 years of engineering experience in design and operation of municipal drinking water treatment systems, including groundwater, surface water treatment and conveyance systems.</li> <li>Experience in utility billing, collections, and customer service center operations preferred.</li> <li>Experience in asset management preferred.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</em></strong>: Licensed Professional Engineer preferred, Highest level of state water operator certification preferred</p> <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong>:</p> <p>**Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions</p> <p><strong>TRAVEL</strong>:</p> <p>Up to 40% travel in the US on average with more or less occurring during specific project periods is expected.</p>
