At <em>Interac</em>, we are accelerating the growth of digital payments in Canada through the development of innovative solutions.</p> <p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, we have a 14-month contract opportunity for a <strong>Senior Manager, Corporate Communications</strong>. We need someone experienced in strategic internal communications. We want a professional writer with a passion for driving things forward and a talent for creating engaging digital content. This is a chance to work closely with key internal stakeholders and a communications team on the strategy and execution of compelling communications programs that support the organization&rsquo;s business objectives.</p> <p><strong>Who you are and what&rsquo;s in it for you</strong></p> <p>You are a Corporate Communications Manager with between 7 to 10 years of experience. You may be looking for a step up to Senior Manager role. You have either worked in a PR agency or internal communications in finance, technology or other corporate environments. You may be a Senior Content Writer. Joining <em>Interac</em> as a Senior Manager, Corporate Communication in a contract capacity is chance to:</p> <ul> <li>Build out your resume with a role at a Senior Manager level.</li> <li>Be part of an organization with a flat hierarchy that is open to hearing and implementing your ideas.</li> <li>Bring your creativity to life writing key messages, blogs and other digital content.</li> <li>Build&nbsp;your network through initiating and maintaining key relationships with sponsors, vendors and key stakeholders.</li> </ul>
Responsibilities: <p><strong>As our contract Senior Manager, Corporate Communications you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and deliver communications that align with the organization&rsquo;s strategic priorities. You will promote employee awareness and engagement around the organization&rsquo;s brand, products and services.</li> <li>Providing strategic communications counsel to internal business units and executives on an ongoing basis. You will manage the ongoing development and delivery of on-brand, on-message content (i.e., articles, messaging, speaking notes, video, photography, etc.) through a variety of communications channels, including town halls, intranet, newsletter, social, digital and customer channels.</li> <li>Manage the organization&rsquo;s intranet, including developing a new platform, content plan and strategies for employee involvement and engagement.</li> <li>Manage CSR initiatives, including storytelling, partner engagement, employee volunteer engagement, the organization of events, development of communications materials and integration into existing corporate channels and materials.</li> <li>Provide oversight for sponsorship and conference programs targeting organizations and initiatives that reflect the organization&rsquo;s brand and strategic priorities, including providing executive support.</li> <li>Engage key stakeholders and associations to communicate and collaborate on corporate initiatives.</li> <li>Work on issues management, including customer and technical issues, to mitigate communications risks and ensure all audiences are well informed.</li> <li>Monitor, measure and assess the effectiveness of internal communications programs, employee engagement, CSR, sponsorship and conference initiatives.</li> <li>Collaborate with Marketing and Human Resources and other internal stakeholders on key internal priorities to ensure alignment between external and internal brand when communicating with our key audiences.</li> <li>Work alongside a Communications Specialist to achieve internal communications goals, as well as supporting broader Communications team on driving external communications.</li> </ul>
Requirements: <p><strong>How do we know that&rsquo;s you? You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>The education. A degree in Communications, English or a related field.</li> <li>The experience. 7-10 years in a communications, media or technology environment writing in corporate and internal communications with a recent focus on social and digital content. You have extensive experience: <ul> <li>Developing communications strategies and initiatives.</li> <li>Building and fostering relationships across business functions.</li> <li>Developing creative, innovative programming around complex, multi-dimensional topics geared toward internal/employee audiences.</li> <li>Creating promotional and supporting documents for sponsorships, customer service, community relations and public relations.</li> </ul> </li> <li>The passion. You thrive in a role where you can capture the authentic voice of leadership in written communications and partner with them to deliver their vision to the organization.</li> <li>The personality. The sense of ownership and enthusiasm to do whatever needs to be done, learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic team. Proven ability to effectively prioritize many conflicting demands.</li> <li>The drive. You have the ability to think, plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously. You have creative problem-solving and collaboration skills. You can navigate ambiguity and fast-changing environments effectively.</li> <li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You are a prolific writer of short and long content in a range of styles and approaches.
